Scholra

Legal

Privacy policy

Draft for product behaviour. This is not a substitute for counsel (SRS §12, §18).

Guests can browse the public catalog without an account. If you create an account we store your email, name, eligibility profile, saves, and submissions in order to run matching, review listings, and show your own content.

Eligibility fields are used to compute match scores on the server. Application documents, when that feature ships, stay in a private bucket and are only available via short-lived signed URLs. We do not collect a separate “scholar verification” file set — listings and articles are reviewed as content.

Scholra stores a session cookie when you sign in, and a theme preference in local storage. The cookie notice on first visit records only that you dismissed it. We do not run third-party advertising pixels in v1.

You can request account deletion. Community posts may be anonymised rather than erased so threads remain useful — that retention choice still needs legal sign-off.
